Police Head Constable Posted In UP Chief Minister's Security Found Shot Dead At Barabanki Home

Barabanki, February 25 (TNA) A head constable with the Uttar Pradesh Police, who was posted in the Chief Minister's security died after being shot in his own house under suspicious circumstances. The incident took place at around 7 pm on Friday evening at the constable's residence located in Green Garden City under Masauli police station area.

Police officials reached the spot late in the night and were engaged in the investigation. SP Dinesh Kumar Singh says that there is a possibility of accidental firing while cleaning the pistol. Every aspect is being investigated.

Sandeep Yadav (35), son of Ved Prakash Yadav, a resident of Kadampur village of Ayodhya district, was a head constable in the police department and was posted under the chief minister's security for the last five years.

The deceased had live cartridges in his hands while the pistol and the magazine were lying nearby. The police informed informed the relatives living in Ayodhya of the tragedy.

Sandeep had built his house a few years ago in Green Garden City, located next to the Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway in the Masauli police station area, where his wife Nisha and eight-year-old daughter Arpita live. Some tenants also live in the house.

The police personnel had reached his house from Lucknow at around 3.30 pm on Friday evening. At around seven o'clock in the evening, when there was a sudden gun shot sound.

When people of the locality reached the room of the house after hearing the cry of wife Nisha, Sandeep was lying bleeding. The bullet had hit his forehead. They tried to take him to a nearby medical facility but he had already died.
