Police Files Chargesheet In Loni Beating Case, Charges Framed Against 11 Accused

Ghaziabad, July 4 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh Police has filed a charge sheet in the Ghaziabad video case. According to the information received from the sources, the names of about 11 people are included in this charge sheet. Sources told TNA that in the chargesheet filed by the UP Police, Kallu Gurjar and Parvesh Gurjar have been made the main accused.

The court has not yet taken cognisance of the chargesheet filed. One of the main accused named in the chargesheet is Kallu Gurjar, who has been identified in the video as the man who shaved the elder's beard.

On June 15, a video of an elderly man being assaulted in Uttar Pradesh had surfaced. After which it was given a 'communal colour' by several media outlets and several Twitter handles. There was no sound in the viral video, in which an elderly man Abdul Samad Saifi was assaulted and his beard was forcibly cut by unknown persons.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party leader Umaid Pehalwan has been arrested in this case on June 19 and sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
