PM Modi To Inaugurate Seven New Medical Colleges In Uttar Pradesh On October 25

Siddharthanagar, Oct 16 (TNA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating seven new autonomous medical colleges from the land of Buddha on October 25.

Providing this information, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this was in line with the commitment of the state government to provide the best possible health facilities to the people of the state and to do this, he added, a chain of medical colleges are being across the state.

The Chief Minister said that the medical college of Siddharthnagar has been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. All these seven medical colleges of the state have got recognition from the National Medical Council.

The admission process for 100-100 MBBS seats will be started through NEET in all these medical colleges from this session, he pointed out.

Madhav Prasad Tripathi, a popular fighter, politician and the first President of BJP Uttar Pradesh, who was associated with the establishment of Siddharthnagar Medical College Jana Sangh, is popularly known as "Madhav Babu". All arrangements for hospital, hostel, staff accommodation in this medical college are complete and the faculty is also complete. Overall this medical college is all set for the first session of MBBS.

The Chief Minister said that through this medical college not only the people of Siddharthnagar but Balrampur, Maharajganj and neighbouring friendly nation Nepal would get the best medical facilities here.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the medical colleges of Deoria, Etah, Hardoi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Pratapgarh. CM Yogi said that in the Gorakhpur-Basti division, the only medical college was BRD Medical College of Gorakhpur. Today AIIMS in Gorakhpur is also ready. In the next one-and-a-half months, it will also be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

With the operation of these medical colleges, 700 MBBS seats in Uttar Pradesh will increase from this session. All these seven medical colleges have got permission from the National Medical Council for admission to 100 seats each in MBBS. With this, there will be no shortage of doctors in the state in the coming years.

While Uttar Pradesh will be more empowered in the field of medical and medical education with these new medical colleges, the state government is also honouring the names of great personalities through this. As per intention of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the medical colleges built in all the districts will be run in the name of the great personality, fighter or a great person of that district.

Medical College of Siddharthnagar in the name of Madhav Prasad Tripathi, Medical College of Deoria in the name of Maharishi Devraha Baba, Medical College of Ghazipur in the name of Maharishi Vishwamitra, Medical College of Mirzapur in the name of Maa Vindhyavasini, Medical College of Pratapgarh in the name of Dr Sonelal Patel and the Medical College of Etah will be governed by the name of Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi.
