Old Man Bludgeoned To Death While In Sleep In Prayagraj

Prayagraj, Oct 17 (TNA) An old man was bludgeoned to death in Mukundpur area of Prayagraj on Saturday night, police said. The incident came to light on Sunday morning. The police, who reached the crime scene investigated the spot and questioned the family members.

63-year-old Ram Kumar Saroj, a resident of Ramgoolam Ka Pura Majra of Mukundpur Gram Sabha of Holagarh police station area was a farmer and his blood stained body was found on a cot in the verandah outside the house. His head was apparently smashed by a brick.

Holagarh SHO Amit Kumar Singh said the family was being questioned and that son of the deceased, Hemant, had been taken into custody on suspicion.
