It was said on behalf of the government that the petitioner was living in an illegal live-in with a man, he's married while divorce is not done and her husband is alive. The court has earlier also refused to grant security in such a case.

Divorce is already included in the sanctity of marriage.' If the petitioner has any difference of opinion with her husband, she has to first proceed for separation from him in accordance with the law in force. The wife cannot be allowed to live in an illegal relationship with another man while the husband is alive.
