Non-Availability Of Govt Files Angers Allahabad HC, UP Chief Secretary Summoned
Prayagraj, Dec 3 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court has expressed its displeasure over the postponement of the hearing of cases due to non-availability of the official file pertaining to it. The court subsequently summoned Chief Secretary Durga Shankar has been summoned who has also been asked on how the court can function in such a state of affairs.
Due to non-availability of file in the court, the government lawyers are not able to cooperate with the court and the hearing has to be postponed. In such a situation, the court has no other option but to summon the Chief Secretary, it observed.
The hearing of the case has been fixed for December 13. This order was given by a division bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice JJ Munir on the special appeal of Manish Srivastava and others.
