Noida Police Busts Racket Supplying Drugs To Big Universities, Colleges In Ghaziabad-Noida, Arrests 9
Noida, November 28 (TNA) Police has busted a gang that supplies drugs, hashish and other intoxicants including ganja to renowned universities and colleges and arrested nine accused. It also includes many students from renowned universities. Drugs worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered from the possession of the accused. This action has been taken on the instructions of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh.
From their possession, a huge quantity of domestic and foreign drugs whose value in the international market is around Rs 25 to 30 lakh, 10 mobile phones, Rs 3200, 2 electronic weighing scales, a car and 2 motorcycles used in the supply of narcotics have also been recovered.
Police Station Sector-126 arrested all the accused on Monday near the Service Road Green Belt in front of Mayur Vihar roundabout. While giving information in a press conference, DCP Noida Harish Chander said that the accused supply narcotics to a prominent University in Noida and other schools, colleges located in Noida and to the people living nearby. Gang leader is Akshay Kumar whose wife lives and works in Taiwan and she supplied a drug called OG from Taiwan.
The second accused Narendra brings the supply of indigenous ganja from Rajasthan, traps the students studying in a University and a law college, prepares them as a gang and supplies the drugs to the students living in the college and PG.
DCP Noida further said that drugs were being supplied to this gang mainly through university students Darshan, Aditya and Satendra Srivastava. Along with this, private riders are prepared for the delivery of drugs who used to deliver drugs on demand in which the main accused are Sagar, Anit and Apoorva Saxena.
One of the arrested accused Rajan drives Ola cab from Delhi to Noida through which he obtained cocaine from citizens of Nigerian origin living in Delhi and supplied it to the students of Amity University. This gang supplies Shillong ganja, native Udaipur ganja and other drugs like hashish, cocaine, MDMA etc.
DCP Noida said that among the arrested accused, Sagar is a second year MBA student of Amity University, Aditya is a BA LLB fourth year student, Darshan is a BA LLB third year student and Apoorva Saxena is a second year MBA student. All these students supply drugs to the students of Amity University as well as other educational institutions of Noida. For which these people provide different intoxicants to different people through Snapchat, Telegram and WhatsApp.
A total of 62 parcels in the form of small parcels have been recovered from the arrested accused. In which they keep foreign ganja, OG and Indian ganja (from Shillong). Delivery is given to the rider so that it appears as if it is a parcel from Amazon, Flipkart etc. They sell one parcel packet for Rs 7-8 thousand. OG is an exotic marijuana whose intoxication is much more than Indian ganja due to which it remained in great demand.
Accused Rajan Singh took supply of MDMA and cocaine from a citizen of Nigerian origin from Tughlakabad, Delhi. A detailed investigation is being conducted by the police team in relation to the citizen of Nigerian origin and how this gang supplied drugs to young men and women in places like Amity University, Asian Law College and other educational institutions, PGs, hostels etc. in Noida.
Through interrogation of the accused, names of other drug smuggling accused Shubham Jain alias Yogendra, Yuvraj, Upendra of Ghaziabad have come to light and a manhunt has been launched to arrest them soon.
