Noida Police Bust Fake Recruitment Call Center In Mayur Vihar, Ten Arrested

Noida, May 25 (TNA) In a joint operation, the Kotwali Sector-113 Police and IT Cell busted a fake recruitment call center and have arrested 10 accused including the call center operator. Police have recovered Rs 6.74 lakh, Scorpio car, 7 laptops and 17 mobiles from the accused. In two years, the gang cheated more than 1000 people for about Rs 20 crore.

Police uncovered the fake call center by raiding a place in Mayur Vihar Delhi. ADCP Ranvijay Singh said that a few days ago, engineer Narendra Shinde, resident of Sector-75, was cheated of Rs 22 lakh in the name of getting a job in Singapore. In the matter, the Kotwali Sector-113 police registered a report and started investigation, when it stumbled upon this fake call center.

After this, the team of SHO Sharadkant raided a house in Mayur Vihar and exposed the fake call center. It was originally operated by Jitesh Kumar, a resident of Katghar Moradabad along with his colleagues. All the arrested accused are residents of different districts and states. The arrested accused have been identified as Pawan Kumar, residents of Sambhal, Ramkrishna and Ramkishan, residents of Badaun, Deepender Kumar, residents of Delhi, Pradeep Kumar, resident of Pratapgarh, Arvind Kumar Yadav, resident of Bihar, Tejpal Singh, resident of East Delhi, Rohit Kumar, resident of Muzaffarnagar and Subhash Chandra, resident of Prayagraj. According to the ADCP, the accused used to take bio-data of people from job, shine and monster.com sites. After this, on the pretext of getting jobs in multinational companies, they used to send fake offer letters to salary profiles. In return, money was deposited in the accounts.
