No More Waiting in Queues: UP Brings NOCs Home To Investors For Faster Project Clearances

Lucknow, September 26 (TNA) In a pioneering move in Uttar Pradesh, investors will now be able to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from departments while sitting at their homes. For the first time in the country, this project has been launched in UP to facilitate easy clearance for investors, an official informed.

To execute this, 28 relationship managers have been appointed who will visit each investor, collect required files, and secure NOCs from the respective departments on their behalf. This initiative is expected to translate into around ₹20,000 crore worth of investments materializing on the ground within three months.

The responsibility for this project has been entrusted to “Invest UP” on the advice of the central team. The pilot phase will begin in cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Noida, Greater Noida, YIDA, and Gorakhpur. Initially, approximately 700 investments awaiting NOCs in these regions will be addressed under this new system.

This step aims to eliminate bureaucratic delays and make the process investor-friendly, boosting the inflow of investments and accelerating economic growth in Uttar Pradesh. The convenience of obtaining NOCs without multiple visits to government offices is expected to significantly enhance investor confidence and ease of doing business in the state.
