Nine Killed In Head-On Collision Between Tourist Bus And A Truck In Barabanki

Lucknow, Oct 7 (TNA) At least nine persons have been killed in a road accdient in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, neighbouring the state capital.

According to police, the accident happened when a speeding truck and tourist bus rammed into each other in a head on collision. The mishap took place on the Kisan Path ring road.

preliminary reports suggest that a stray cattle had come in the way of the vehicles and the drivers lost control and collided. Truck was full of sand while the bus had 70 passengers in it.

SP Barabanki Yamuna Prasad has confirmed the death of 9 persons and informed that 27 people have also been injured, some of them critically. They have been rushed to the trauma center at the KGMU in Lucknow.
