Names Of Three Railway Stations In UP’s Pratapgarh Changed

Lucknow, Oct 6 (TNA) Names of Pratapgarh, Antu and Bishnath Ganj railway stations of UP have been changed. Northern Railway has issued its notification. From now on, Pratapgarh will be known as Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Junction, Antu as Maa Chandrika Devi Dham Antu and Bishnathganj as Shanidev Dham Bishnathganj.

The three railway stations whose names have been changed are major religious places in Pratapgarh. According to information, Indian Railways has decided that these railway stations should be named after religious places only. Not only this, Indian Railways will soon change the names of more railway stations.

Railways is also considering changing the name of Alamnagar railway station of Lucknow. Kaushal Kishore, BJP MP from Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha seat of Lucknow, has proposed to the Indian Railway Board to change the name of Alamnagar Railway Station to Shri Budheshwar Dham Station.

Railway stations around which there are religious places will be named after the religious places only. The focus of Railways is to name the stations after these religious places. The name of Jhansi Railway Station of UP was changed to Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Railway Station.
