Muzaffarnagar Police Bust Illicit Liquor Making, Smuggling Gang, Four Arrested

Muzaffarnagar, February 26 (TNA) The Muzaffarnagar Police have smashed a gang of illicit liquor, an official of the home department said on Friday. Four persons were arrested and 8.5 lakh caps meant to cap the spurious liquor bottles, 2.6 lakh wrappers, machines to manufacture them have also been seized.

The gang was not only involved in manufacture and sale of the illicit liquor but also in its smuggling across the state and even outside the borders. The arrested have been identified as Dinesh Karnwal, Suresh Khatwa, Jagdish and Kishori Lal.

An official informed that the caps and wrappers included some of the major liquor manufactures like Radico Khaitan, Royal Stag, Imperial Blue, Officers Choice, Blenders Pride etc.
