Muslim Cleric Issues Advisory For Community In Wake Of Night Curfew, Fresh COVID Protocol

Lucknow, April 9 (TNA) Senior Muslim cleric Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali has issued an advisory to the community with regards to precautions to be taken owing to the spike in Coronavirus cases in the city.

The much-respected cleric said that Muslims should comply with the protocol and guidelines issued by the government in wake of the growing cases of COVID.

He further said that the clerics, and those offering prayers during the coming holy month of Ramzaan should ensure that they reach home before the time of night curfew (9pm).

He also said that it should be ensured that social distancing is maintained, more than 100 people don't gather inside mosques and during Iftaar as well.

Lucknow has reported a huge and worrying surge in the cases of the deadly virus, following which the government has ordered night curfew in the state capital and many other cities of the state.
