Multiplexes, Gyms In Uttar Pradesh To Reopen From July 5

Lucknow, July 2 (TNA) With the situation of the corona epidemic in the state under control the state government on Friday said from the coming Monday, July 5, multiplex cinema halls, gyms, and sports stadiums will be allowed to operate in compliance with the Covid protocol.

The business of cinema hall operators has been affected due to Covid and their needs and problems should be considered sympathetically, the chief minister told Team-9, which is overseeing the pandemic management under his direct supervision.

More than 2.5 lakh Covid tests are being done every day, while the positivity rate has come down to less than one percent. In the last 24 hours, 02 lakh 70 thousand 723 Covid tests were done in the state, in the same period 133 new cases of infection have come, while 228 patients have recovered after getting treatment.

So far, more than around 5.83 crore tests have been done in the state. So far 16.81 lakh people have been discharged from corona infection.
