Mortal Remains Of Subrata Roy Sahara To Come To Lucknow Today, Cremation On Thursday

Lucknow, November 15 (TNA) Mortal remains of Subrata Roy, founder chairman of Sahara India Parivaar, will be flown in to the state capital at 3 pm on Wednesday, an official of the conglomerate informed.

Roy passed away at the age of 75 at a private hospital in Mumbai late Tuesday night. He was suffering from blood cancer for the past two years and had been in and out of medical facilities ever since.

The body of Saharasri will be kept at the sprawling Sahara Shahr in Gomtinagar throughout Wednesday for near and dear ones, workers, friends and well wishers to pay their last respects.

Roy will be cremated on Thursday at the Baikunth Dham, a crematorium that he built after the death of his sister many years back. Time of the final rites are yet to be finalised. Roy’s wife Swapna and sons Sushanto and Seemanto have been living in Dubai for the past some years.
