More Than 16,000 Youth To Get Employment In UP Villages Only

800 units to be set up in a year under the Chief Minister's Village Industries Employment Scheme

Lucknow, June 7 (TNA) The Yogi government is making all-out and sustained efforts so that the youth do not have to leave the villages and migrate to cities in the state and elsewhere for jobs. Under the Mukhyamantri Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana, a target is to set up 800 units in a year. This will provide employment opportunities to more than 16 thousand youth.

The state government has already made a provision for this in the budget for 2022-23. The Yogi government aims to provide employment to at least one member of every family in the next five years. At the same time, it is also the endeavour of the state government to ensure that youth do not have to leave their villages and homes and migrate to cities for employment.

Employment opportunities should be available to the youth in and around their villages. The state government is going to set up 800 units in a year under the Mukhyamantri Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana. This will provide employment opportunities to more than 16 thousand youth. Through this, the youth will not only get employment but they will also be able to create job opportunities for others in the village.

Under the Mukhyamantri Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana, a loan up to Rs 10 lakh will be provided from the bank for starting employment or business. The objective of this scheme is to make the youth of rural areas self-reliant and empowered. Women can also avail the benefits of this scheme.

Only unemployed youth will be considered eligible for the scheme and their age should be between 18 to 50 years. The applicant should be a permanent resident of a rural area of ​​Uttar Pradesh. Preference will be given to unemployed youth who have received technical training from ITI and polytechnic institutions.
