Miscreant Enters Ghaziabad Flat As Courier Boy, Robs And Wounds Elderly Woman

Ghaziabad, Dec 4 (TNA) A miscreant robbed an elderly woman by entering the ninth floor flat of KW Srishti Society located in Rajnagar Extension of Nandgram police station area on Friday. The miscreant had got the door opened posing as a courier boy.

On protesting, the miscreants attacked the elderly woman with a screwdriver and she suffered injuries on his face, ears, cheeks and neck in this incident. The miscreants fled after looting two-and-a-half thousand rupees, gold chain, bracelet and mobile kept in her purse.

KW Society resident Awadhesh Garg told that his elder sister Sheela Goyal lives alone in flat number 904 of the society, her husband Rajendra Goyal has died in the past. Police station in-charge Nandgram, Amit Kumar Kakran says that a report has been registered on the basis of the complaint.

The CCTV cameras of the society are being checked to identify the miscreant. The incident which took place in broad daylight has raised questions on the security system of the society.
