Meerut Police Bust Gang Of Illegal Gun Makers, Five Arrested

Meerut, Nov 30 (TNA) The Meerut Police has busted a gang of illegal firearm makers and arrested five accused. The accused, during interrogation, have revealed many big secrets including the fact that the arms were manufactured at a tubewell in Jaula and Bisaula village of Muzaffarnagar.

A technical person with a knowhow of making such arms made three guns every day. The Inchauli police have produced the five arrested accused in the court from where they have been sent to jail. More than 20 people have been reported to be involved in the gang.

The accused told the cops that the demand for weapons was increasing in view of the assembly elections. Due to this, they were rapidly making weapons and selling a katta for Rs 3-4 thousand, a gun for Rs 8-10 thousand. Weapons have been supplied to other districts including Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat and Shamli.

The arrested persons include Sultan, Pinkal, Maujiram, Rinku and Mohit while the prime accused Monu is on the run.
