Massive Fire At Gyan Milk Dairy Plant In Lucknow, No Casualties

Lucknow, March 31 (TNA) A massive fire broke out in the machinery area at 40 feet height in Gyan Milk Dairy located on Kursi Road in the state capital on Thursday. Seeing the smoke billowing and flames leaping out of the high rise structure, the workers raised an alarm and initially tried to douse the fire by themselves.

Failing to contain the fire, the fire tenders were then requisitioned. As soon as the information was received, fire brigade personnel from BKT, Indiranagar and Hazratganj fire stations reached the spot with vehicles. The height of the fire however deterred the firemen and soon a hydraulic platform was sent from Hazratganj fire station.

The firefighters brought the fire under control aftermore than an hour.A lot of machinery has been gutted in the fire. CFO Vijay Kumar Singh said that the cause of the fire is being investigated. There have been no casualties in the fire.
