'Mask ATM' Inaugurated In Saharanpur District of Uttar Pradesh

SAHARANPUR || If till now you thought ATM's only dispense money, rethink! For now, thanks to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, an ATM is Saharanpur district of western Uttar Pradesh is dispensing masks. But to get them one will have to first spend Rs 5, put that coin into the customised machine and pop comes out a face mask for use.

The novel ATM is the initiative of the Saharanpur Municipal Corporation to ensure that people wear masks when they are in public places. The ATM has another facility through which one can, without touching any thing, get their hands sanitised through a spray.

City commissioner Gyanendra Singh told reporters that the masks dispensed from the ATM are of high quality, one which cost anywhere between Rs 10-15 in the open market but are being given at a subsidised rate by the municipal corporation through the ATM.

Each ATM has a one-time lad of 50 masks and once finished they can be refilled again.
