Man Who Duped City Jeweller Worth Crores Posing As An IPS Officer Arrested
Lucknow, Sep 4 (TNA) A man, who had duped a prominent city jeweller worth several crore has been arrested by the Lucknow Police. According to information available, the miscreant Rajeev Singh, posed as an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and went to Kalyandas Jeweller.
He had taken jewellery and gold worth more than three crore post-dated cheques to the jeweller. He said he was a Maharashtra cadres cop and also showed identification, which has now turned out to be fake. A complaint was lodged with the police and then matter was referred to the Special Task Force (STF) of the UP Police.
The man was tracked and has since been arrested. Jewellery worth Rs 3 crore has also been recovered from his Aliganj residence.
