Make Arrangements For Education, Sports Entertainment For Children Living In Kid Shelter Homes: Allahabad HC To UP Govt

Prayagraj, November 18 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (’HC) has directed the UP government to make arrangements for education, sports, entertainment etc. of the children living in children shelter homes. This order has been given by the division bench of Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar and Justice Ajay Bhanot while hearing the suo motu PIL filed regarding the condition of children's homes.

Before the hearing began, an affidavit was filed on behalf of UP Government's Additional Advocate General MC Chaturvedi and Additional Chief Standing Advocate Ramanand Pandey on behalf of the Special Secretary of the Women and Child Welfare Department in compliance with the previous order passed by the High Court.

The Allahabad High Court said that there is no hindrance in the all-round development of the children and when they return to normal life after completing their time in the children's home, they do not have to face any kind of hesitation, pressure or mental problem.

Told that the department has made both small and comprehensive plans for the basic facilities of the children living in the shelter home and work on it is going on.
