1 min read

Lucknow, July 30 (TNA) Train operations at Lucknow’s Charbagh railway station will be significantly affected for 56 days starting July 31, as the Railways undertakes foundational work for a new concourse (upper passenger hall). The Northern Railway has announced a long traffic block during this period, resulting in changes to 62 trains, including major reroutings and platform alterations.

Construction work on platforms 2, 3, and 4 has necessitated the massive reshuffling. Some trains will be run from alternate stations such as Alamnagar, Transportnagar, Aishbagh, and Uttaretia, while others will be diverted via different routes.

Key changes include:

• Train 14208 Delhi–Maa Belha Devi Pratapgarh Express to run on a revised route from July 31 to September 24.

• Train 15120 Dehradun–Banaras Express and 15128 New Delhi–Banaras Express to operate on new routes from August 1 to September 25.

• 22921 Bandra–Gorakhpur and 11123 Gwalior–Barauni Mail will be diverted via Manaknagar, Aishbagh, and Malhaur.

• 12555 Gorakhpur–Bhatinda and 15030 Pune–Gorakhpur Express will also follow this alternate route.

Senior DCM Kuldeep Tiwari of the Lucknow Division confirmed that the block has been planned with a focus on passenger safety and comfort. Passengers are advised to check train schedules and departure stations in advance to avoid inconvenience, he added.
