Lucknow University's Student Leader Shot Dead By Relative In Lakhimpur Kheri

LAKHIMPUR KHERI || A student leader of the Lucknow University was shot dead on his home town of Lakhimpur Kheri late on Thursday, police said on Friday. The student leader Aman Bajpayi had come home due to the Coronavirus pandemic and was shot dead by a close relative, apparently owing to a land dispute.

His family rushed him to a nearby medical facility but he was pronounced dead. The crime was committed in Gola where Ram Lakhan Bajpayi lived with his family the Laxminagar locality.

Aman (22) was his younger son. He was walking after a late night dinner when his relative Kuldeep (30) had a verbal spat with him after which he opened fire from his illegal weapon.

Hearing the gun shot, the family rushed out of the house to find Aman lying in a pool of blood. After a named FIR was lodged by the police, the accused has been arrested.
