Lucknow Metro Staffer Returns Passenger's Bag Containing ₹70,000 Cash

Lucknow Metro so far has returned approximately ₹38 lakhs in cash, around ₹35 lakhs worth of jewellery, 700 mobile phones, and 170 laptops to rightful owners so far.

Lucknow, April 1 (TNA) Lucknow Metro's robust security system has once again demonstrated exemplary passenger service and satisfaction. The highly acclaimed Lost and Found Cell of Lucknow Metro is setting new records in returning passengers' lost valuables.

On Sunday, a passenger boarded the train from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport Metro Station around 6:20 PM for Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station. Around 7 PM, the train arrived at Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station, where the passenger realized he had forgotten his bag carrying ₹70,000 cash in the train.

As soon as the passenger realized his belongings were missing, he immediately informed the station controller at Vishwavidyalaya. Taking prompt action, the Station Controller tracked the train id and a search was conducted in the train at Badshahnagar Metro Station. The passenger immediately headed to Badshahnagar Metro Station and around 7:25 PM, his bag was safely handed over to him after due verification.

Expressing gratitude for the prompt return of his bag within just 25 minutes, the metro passenger thanked Lucknow Metro and commended the dedication of its staff and the organization's working culture.

Since the commencement of commercial services on September 5, 2017, Lucknow Metro's Lost and Found Cell has safely returned approximately ₹38 lakhs in cash, nearly ₹35 lakhs worth of jewelry, 700 mobile phones, and 170 laptops to passengers.

Expressing pride over the exemplary work by the team, Managing Director UPMRC Shri Sushil Kumar said, “I am proud of my team which is dedicated to serving the public in best possible way. This data of the Lost and Found mechanism reinforces our claim that Lucknow Metro is the safest public transport not just for passengers but their belongings as well.”
