Lucknow Metro Logs Its Highest Daily Post-Covid Ridership With 50,000 Passengers On Monday

Lucknow, Oct 5 (TNA) In yet another milestone for the Lucknow Metro Rail, the public commuting service by the end of Monday night logged 50,000 passengers, which was its highest ever since the post-Covid 19 lockdown was lifted.

An official informed that this was the highest ridership sicne June 9 when the Metro Rail started operating again after a long gap due to the pandemic. UP Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) chief Kumar Keshav congratulated the Operations and Maintenance team for the feat.

On August 5 this year Lucknow Metro had touched the cumulative ridership figure of 3.25 crore.

The Metro services started in the state capital on September 5, 2017 on the North-South Corridor (Phase I-A) from Transport Nagar to Charbagh. LMRC had commissioned the services of Metro train on entire North-South corridor from CCS Airport to Munshipulia on March 8, 2019.

The CCS Aiport-Munshipulia corridor covers a stretch of 22.878 km and has 21 stations.
