Laptops, Smart Phones Distributed To M.Tech Students Of Remote Sensing Application Centre

Lucknow, December 21 (TNA) Minister Science & Technology, Higher Education and Electronics & I.T. Govt. of U.P. Yogendra Upadhyay distributed tablets/smart phones to M.Tech students of Remote Sensing Application Centre UP under Swami Vivekanand Yuva Shashaktikaran Yojana. On this occasion Upadhyay also inaugurated the lecture series of AI/ML for the M.Tech students of RSAC-UP.

Speaking as chief guest he urged the beneficiaries to use the laptop/smart phones for the development of the country and further said that keeping in view the importance of digital empowerment the government is distributing tablets to the students of U.G. and P.G. diploma, skill development, paramedical and nursing education.

The minister appreciated the scientific work carried out by RSAC UP in agriculture, soil, water and earth resources, rural and urban planning in the development of departmental portals. Upadhyay also urged the scientists and students of RSAC UP to work for the Developed India Vision 2047.

Narendra Bhooshan, Principal Secretary and Chairman Governing body RSAC-UP said the interaction of GIS and emerging technologies like AI/ML will go a long way towards the goal of achieving the one trillion UP economy target set by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It was further emphasized by Bhooshan that here in RSAC-UP efforts have been made towards teaching students how to use all emerging technologies tools and techniques like GIS, AI, ML and 5G the knowledge and skill gained by students in these new emerging technologies will contribute significantly in Developed India Vision 2047 of the Prime Minister.

Earlier in the day Narendra Bhooshan interacted with the M.Tech students of RSAC-UP and with the trainees from various user departments undergoing training at RSAC-UP. Dr P. Kunwar Director RSAC-UP urged the students to use remote sensing techniques for the development of the country and explained in detail the scientific work carried out by RSAC-UP towards natural resources management.

Dr. Sudhakar Shukla Head of the School of Geo Informatics gave a detailed presentation about activities under M. Tech program in Remote Sensing and GIS being run by RSAC-UP. Director CST Dr Anil Yadav, all the faculty members, scientists of RSAC-UP and M. Tech students were present on this occasion.
