Prayagraj, March 9 (TNA) In a shocking incident, Ashutosh Brahmachari, the lead petitioner in the high-profile Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi case, was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon aboard the Rewa Express while travelling to Prayagraj, accusing Swami Avimukteshwaranand and his associates of orchestrating the assault aimed at severing his nose.

The attack unfolded between Fatehpur and Sirathu around 5 AM Sunday as Brahmachari headed to the toilet; a lone assailant struck multiple times, targeting his face and causing injuries amid passenger panic. Brahmachari fought back, barricading himself in the train bathroom to escape, later filing a written complaint at Prayagraj GRP station claiming a Rs 21 lakh bounty had been announced for his nose. He underwent a medical examination at Colvin Hospital.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand dismissed the allegations, questioning GRP security lapses in a moving train and urging a full investigation to reveal the truth. GRP police have launched a probe, scanning CCTV footage and passenger statements as tensions simmer amid the ongoing legal feud.
