Kids In Noida Creating Vaccination Awareness Among Guards, House Helps Through Street Plays

Noida, August 10 (TNA) Street theatre is being used by a group of children as an effective tool to educate people on the ongoing Covid vaccination drive. Children of Gaur Sportswood Society, located in Sector-79, Noida, are making people aware of corona virus vaccination.

Children are spreading awareness among low-income residents about the importance of taking the covid vaccine. There are doing street plays for this. The play-play was organized for three days recently so that more people can be motivated to get vaccinated. About 8 shows were held in three days.

Awareness was created by gathering a maximum of 50 people at a time. Around 250 people (guards, house maids, house keeping staff and other assistants) were educated during the entire campaign. Priya Jain initiated this unique program.

She started it last June, 2021 as she pointed out that the residents of the society were discussing daily that the house helpers and guards were reluctant to get vaccinated due to the myth.

Then Priya decided to do something to remove this confusion. He contacted his former colleague Reena Bhatnagar.

Reena helped him write the script and train the children. Gradually 4 more people joined his team. 14 children aged 9 to 14 years were added to make the nook play a success. They were practiced daily for 10 days. She said that the nook play has succeeded in its purpose. Hundreds of low-income people have now become aware of getting the covid vaccine.
