Kanpur Smart City Corporation Limited Board Meet Okays 31 Projects Worth ₹100 Crore
Kanpur, June 14 (TNA) The Kanpur Smart City Corporation Limited met for its 14th Board meeting on Tuesday where 31 projects worth Rs 100 crore were approved. Prominent decisions taken at the meeting included development of Bada Chauraha (₹ 3.5 Cr), installation of the Facial Attendance Recognition system at Kanpur Nagar Nigam, setting up of the phase II of the Green Park Visitor gallery at a cost of ₹ 3.57 Cr, development of Badminton & Gym Hall at Green park (₹ 5.5 Cr ), setting up of twenty transfer stations for solid waste management at ₹ 2 Cr.
A smart road around the Chunniganj Convention centre will be constructed at ₹ 3 Crore, open Gym and development will be undertaken in 10 parks at ₹ 5 cr, installation of large solar system set up in Govt buildings in ABD Area (₹ 3.5 cr), development of public places near the famous Anandeshwar Temple (₹ 6 Cr), construction and development of 30 smart bus stops (₹ 4 cr, with Public private partnership, KSCL is paying ₹50 lakhs and building up of an automated Foot over bridge at Nana Rao park (₹4 cr).
Nauka Vihar in ABD area will be developed at a cost of ₹ 2 crore, public facility development in slum areas (₹ 4 cr ), beautification of Tulsi Upwan (₹ 3.5 cr ), safe road signages, markings and safety measures of roads in ABD area (₹ 5 Cr). Development of city E-Bus Application will be taken up and it will be linked with the ICCC of smart city (₹ 80 lakhs).
Commissioner Kanpur division Raj Shekhar, Vishak G (DM Kanpur Nagar), Shiv Sharanappa (Nagar Ayukt & CEO smart city), Arvind Singh (VC KDA), BGTS Murthy (DCP traffic) and Neeraj Srivastava were among the officials who attended the meeting.
Boating facilities at Kargil park will be developed at a cost of ₹50 lakhs, Web based LIDAR technology based Property mapping will be taken up at ₹ 1.75 crore as well. The Board also approved appointment of IIT Kanpur as “Technical Support Group” (TSG) for ICCC project of Kanpur smart city for next 2 years. It will help in ensuring best possible usse of facilities available in ICCC & also use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in ITMS & Traffic management.
Board has also given in Principle approval to take up Operations & Management (O&M) through Private Partnership of the Visitor gallery, Upcoming Convention centre, Multi Level parking at Collectortate, Vendor kiosk at Motijheel, Badminton court & Gym at Green park & upcoming new Swimming pool at Nana Rao park once they are completed by kanpur smart city.
