Kanpur Commissioner Pedals On City Roads For 'Reality Check' Of 'Repair And Restoration Work'

Kanpur, Nov 9, 2020 || Kanpur divisional commissioner Raj Shekhar on Monday morning took an uncharted route as he cycled through various roads in the city. According to the IAS officer, he undertook this for reasons like ascertaining the road repair and restoration work. The other angle being the long pedalling for fitness.

Posting a selfie of his in cycle gear, the young bureaucrat said that during his "reality check" he found that while many roads have been repaired and restored, many are still to be done.

He marked the tweet to the Public Works Department (PWD), the Kanpur Nagar Nigam (KNN) and the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) - all agencies responsible for the roads, thereby dropping enough hints that he was continuously monitoring the roads and that the work should be done in the right earnest.
