Juvenile Hangs Self In Prayagraj Girls Shelter Home After Failed Affair With School Mate

Prayagraj, August 7 (TNA) A teenager living in Nari Niketan (Girls shelter home) of Prayagraj for the last two years committed suicide by hanging on Friday night. Arriving after the information, the police investigated and recovered her mobile to find out more about the possible reasons that could have eld to the tragedy.

The girl's father has questioned the administrative arrangements of Nari Niketan. It is being reported that the boy with whom she was having an affair and wanted to marry had recanted. Due to which she was depressed and fell victim to Tuberculosis. After which she was kept in a separate room in Nari Niketan.

The girl's family lives in Karchana. The girl had an affair with her classmate at the school near the house. In January 2018, both had fled the house. The two were arrested a month later. When the girl refused to go with the family members, the police had sent her to Nari Niketan in Khuldabad and sent the boy to a juvenile home, from where the boy got bail.

The girl's father said that he tried to take the daughter home but she was not ready to go. She insisted that she would marry her boyfriend only after she became an adult, he told the police. The girl was about to turn 18 on November 30.

Inspector Khuldabad Virendra Yadav said that the girl's mobile has been found. It is being investigated on how she was in possession of a mobile inside Nari Niketan and at what time and to whom did she make the last call.
