Juvenile Criminals Cannot Apply For Anticipatory Bail: Allahabad High Court

Prayagraj, February 10 (TNA) In a big decision that would go a long way in providing justice to those seeking it against minor criminals, the Allahabad High Court has ruled that juvenile criminals cannot apply for anticipatory bail.

This, as such criminals have special provisions in law for minor criminals. The High Court said that there is separate protection in the Juvenile Justice Act, minor criminals cannot take advantage of anticipatory bail. This decision has been given by High Court Justice Jyotsna Sharma.

The High Court said that there are special provisions in the law for juvenile criminals, while anticipatory bail is for those criminals / persons who are in doubt of their arrest. The court said that child criminals have separate protection under the Juvenile Justice Act, so they cannot take advantage of anticipatory bail.
