IT Raids On Prominent Shahjahanpur Businessman Close To Samajwadi Party

Shahjahanpur, March 8 (TNA) Income-tax (IT) department officials on Tuesday searched the residence and other business premises at Namkeen businessman and SP leader Vinay Agarwal. The search which began in the morning has continued for over four hours, an eye witness informed media persons.

Several records, papers related to land deals and other transactions are apparently being scrutinised. Businessman Vinay Aggarwal, considered close to Akhilesh Yadav, was preparing to contest on SP ticket from the city assembly seat of Shahjahanpur in the recently concluded assembly elections.
