In View Of Controlled Covid Situation, UP Considering Partial Relaxation In Two-Day Weekly Closure

Lucknow, August 11 (TNA) In view of the controlled situation of Covid in the state, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the home department to consider partial relaxation in two-day weekly closure in the state. Covid protocol, he however added, should be followed in every case at every place, there should not be unnecessary congestion anywhere, police patrolling should continue abd ppropriate guidelines should be presented regarding the new system.

Not a single patient of Covid is now left in Aligarh, Amethi, Chitrakoot, Etah, Firozabad, Gonda, Hathras, Kasganj, Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Shamli and Sonbhadra districts, an official spokesman of the state government informed.

In the testing of 02 lakh 39 thousand 909 samples done in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection was found in 59 districts, while patients were found in unit digit in 16 districts. At present, the number of active Covid cases in the state is 505.

In the last 24 hours, 27 new patients were confirmed in the testing. During the same period, 63 patients got healthy and were discharged. So far, 16 lakh 85 thousand 555 residents of the state have become healthy after getting free from corona infection. To further improve this situation, all necessary arrangements should be made in accordance with the policy of trace, test and treat.

According to the recommendations of the State Level Health Expert Advisory Committee, physical education should be started with 50% capacity in secondary, higher, technical and vocational educational institutions after Independence Day.

Covid vaccination is going on smoothly in the state. So far 5.50 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the state. Vaccine-cover is very useful for protection from the virus. The importance of vaccines is self-evident in the fight against Covid.

In view of this, Uttar Pradesh is the only state where more than 5 crore 50 lakh 52 thousand vaccine doses have been administered so far. More than 04 crore 64 lakh 33 thousand people have received a single dose of the vaccine.

So far more than 86 lakh people have received both the doses of Covid vaccine in the state.
