In July, Lucknow Metro Returned 8 Smart Phones, One Laptop, Rs 13,000 Left Behind By Commuters

Lucknow, August 2 (TNA) Staffers of the Lucknow Metro returned Rs 13,446 Cash, 8 Smart phones and 1 Laptop in the month of July. These were all left behind by commuters either in a hurry or by mistake at different stations. Apart from this Lucknow metro not only provided medical aid but also helped in reuniting its passengers at the time of need.

On July 28, an old age passenger boarded the train from Amausi Metro Station but he fell sick while travelling to Sachivalaya Metro Station. Metro officials quickly responded to this emergency situation by reaching platform with a wheelchair before train reached the station.

After providing first aid to the passenger and making him comfortable he was sent back to his home with his son. In another incident on July 23, where an 8-year-old girl child who was left in coach while parents were de-boarding the train was handed over to her parents after collecting all the necessary details.

In one of the occurrence on July 9, Lucknow Metro staff returned Rs 7000/- cash and some important documents to its passenger from Gomtinagar who left behind his file containing cash and papers.

Kumar Keshav, MD, UPMRC said, "The entire staff of Lucknow Metro is committed towards providing best passenger service to the commuters to ensure safe and convenient travel".

He also appealed to all the Metro personnel to continue their service with similar dedication and said that safety of life and belongings of the passengers is our topmost priority.
