Husband Hacks Wife to Death Over Breakfast Row in Banda Village

Banda, April 17 (TNA) In a shocking incident in Bagheta village under Baberu police station limits in Banda district, a heated argument over not preparing breakfast and sending their daughter to coaching without eating escalated into a brutal murder on Thursday.

Enraged husband Mobeen Sheikh, 48, lost control during the quarrel with his wife Sarifan, grabbed an axe from the house, and unleashed a frenzied attack on her while she was bathing, striking her multiple times and killing her on the spot.

The couple, residents of Bagheta, frequently clashed, but this dispute over their daughter’s empty stomach proved fatal, with Mobeen fleeing the scene immediately after the assault. Their youngest daughter, returning from coaching, discovered her mother’s blood-soaked body and raised an alarm, alerting neighbours who rushed to the house.

Baberu SHO Rajendra Singh Rajavat arrived with a police team, secured the body for postmortem, and the forensic team collected evidence from the scene. Sarifan leaves behind five sons working in Mumbai and two daughters, with only the younger one at home. Additional SP Shivraj stated teams are actively hunting the absconding accused, vowing a swift arrest.
