Hindu Seer Attacked Inside Dasna Devi Temple In Ghaziabad, Critical

Ghaziabad, August 10 (TNA) A Hindu seer, sleeping in the Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh was critically injured after being attacked with a sharp weapon by an unknown miscreant, police said. An investigation has been ordered.

According to the information, the assailants who broke into the temple by scaling the wall, attacked Swami Nareshananda Saraswati, who was sleeping in the premises, with a sharp weapon and stabbed him in the neck and abdomen.

The injured seer has been admitted to Yashoda Hospital, where his condition is stated to be critical. A caretaker told the police that Nareshanand Saraswati had come from Samastipur in Bihar on August 7 to meet the priest of the temple.

SP Dehat Iraj Raja says that the police is checking the CCTV cameras installed in the temple premises. A guard of PAC is also deployed outside the temple who was informed about 20 minutes after the incident. PAC guards have been deployed at Dasna Devi temple for the last several years.
