Heavy Rains Disrupt Normal Life In Prayagraj, Many Flights Cancelled

Prayagraj, January 7 (TNA) Normal life in Prayagraj was thrown out of gear on friday with heavy rains lashing the city and the neighbourhood. The skies opened up since morning and till the time of filing this report, the rains have not stopped. As a result traffic from road to air has been badly affected.

Due to incessant rains, the runway of the airport has reported visibility issues owing to which many flights have been cancelled. IndiGo flight from Bhubaneshwar to Prayagraj which was to land at 10:30 am had to be cancelled. Flight coming from Raipur was also cancelled.

The flight coming from Gorakhpur and going from Prayagraj to Gorakhpur was also cancelled due to bath weather and rains. The Indigo flight operating between Bhopal to Prayagraj was canceled due to bad weather and visibility.

IndiGo, which provides air service between Mumbai to Prayagraj also cancelled its flight for Friday due to incessant rain. Dehradun, Pune and Bengaluru flights were also cancelled due to poor visibility and rains.
