Heavy Rains Bring Down Mud House In Muzaffarnagar, Three Killed

Muzaffarnagar, July 30 (TNA) Heavy rains brought down a mud house in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh early on Friday, police said. Three person were killed and four injured in the mishap. The incident occurred Begrajpur village, falling under the Mansoorpur police station.

As soon as the news of the incident reached the police, it swung into action and oversaw the rescue and relief operation. Heavy rains have been taking place in many parts of western Uttar Pradesh for the last 48-hours and more is to come, the weatherman said.

A yellow alert has been issued for Bareilly, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Shamli, Baghpat, Meerut, Hapur, Kasganj, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and Amroha.

An 'Orange alert' has been sounded for Moradabad, Rampur, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Bijnor in western UP. Winds can reach 80 kmph in these districts and there is a possibility of a lightning strikes.
