Heavy Overnight Rains In Lucknow, Schools Closed, Heavy Showers Predicted In The Day

Lucknow, August 8 (TNA) Following heavy rains in the state capital, the district administration has ordered the closure of all schools from class I to VIII in the city on Friday. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain on Friday.

During this time, winds are also expected to blow at a speed of 40-60 km per hour. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees, and the minimum temperature is forecasted to drop to around 26 degrees.

According to the weather forecast, the rain is expected to continue for the next few days. The change in weather has been attributed to a cyclone formed near Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha, and the western disturbance formed near Punjab, moving towards the state.

Along with the capital, the weather department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Amethi, Sultanpur, Rae Bareli, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Barabanki, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Balrampur and Shravasti.
