Heave Rains Leaves Lucknow Waterlogged, Power Outages Add To Woes

Lucknow, Sep 16 (TNA) Heavy rains through the night lashed the state capital and neighbouring areas on Thursday, bringing normal life to a grinding halt. While it was cloudy and it intermittently rained yesterday, the overnight downpour left the city waterlogged.

Accompanied by gusty winds, the incessant rains also crippled power supply in many parts of the state capital, leaving people with problems as many school going children waded through after logged roads and the children at home faced more trouble as online classes were disrupted because of power outages.

The Weatherman said the weather would continue throughout the day. Attendance in private offices also suffered due to the rains.
