HC Seeks Reply On Transfer Of PMS Doctors In UP

Lucknow, July 17 (TNA) The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court has sought reply from the State Government on recent PMS doctor transfers in the state. A Petition has been filed by the PMS Welfare Association, UP through its General Secretary Dr R K Saini. The next date of hearing is on 26 July 2022.

Justice Alok Mathur passed this order after hearing petitioner’s counsel Dr Nutan Thakur and State Counsel. Nutan told the Court that there is large scale irregularity in transfer of doctors in transfer session 2022-23. This includes transfer of doctors before the prescribed period, leaving the doctors much past the maximum prescribed period and transfer of level 2, 3 and 4 doctors by DG, Medical and Health without authority.

She said even Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has made serious objections to these transfers. Hence the petition prays for cancellation of transfers, fixing accountability for these transfers and further transfers completely according to the Transfer Policy.
