Agra, March 3 (TNA) More than 3000 fitness enthusiasts of the Taj City joined the half marathon early Sunday to spread the message of good health through sports. Organised by the Agra Sports Foundation, the event attracted a large number of businessmen, professionals, homemakers, acid attack survivors, physically challenged on wheelchairs, students and a dozen heart patients.

The race was divided into three categories - 5-km, 10-km, and 21-km. Agra's popular sports icon Iron Man Rhythm Garg green-flagged the race from the Eklavya Stadium. The overcast sky and chilly breeze failed to deter the participants who raced full steam as drums and nagadas raised the crescendo to a festive pitch. After the event doctors and health consultants said regular outdoor exercises, brisk walking and racing worked as tonics insulating the body from health hazards.
