Gyanvapi Title Dispute: Hearing Held In Allahabad High Court

Prayagraj, August 29 (TNA) The Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court (HC) Pritinkar Diwakar, on Monday held a hearng in the Gyanvapi case of Varanasi. After completion of the hearing, the matter is now slated for a hearing on September 12.

The Muslim side objected to the transfer of the cases to the CJ-bench of the Allahabad HC after the judgment was reserved. The CJ asked how many times the judgment in the cases has been reserved, to which SFA Naqvi, senior counsel for the Muslim side, said, "We are confused because earlier the judgment was reserved and today was the date of pronouncement of the judgment."

Advocate Naqvi told the court that 75 dates have been fixed in the case. A petition has been filed on behalf of Sunni Central Waqf Board and Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee, on which hearing was held on Monday after the case was transferred to the CJ Court.

The CJ court asked the Muslim side that who can enter the disputed Gyanvapi mosque site? On this, the lawyer of the Muslim side told the court that we ie the Muslim side can do it but the Hindus cannot.
