Gangster With A Reward Of Rs Two Lakh On His Head Killed In Gun Battle With Varanasi Police

Varanasi, March 21 (TNA) A dreaded gangster carrying a reward of Rs two lakh on his head was bumped off by the Varanasi police in an encounter in the Lohta area of the temple town.

The deceased - Manish Singh alias Sonu had more than 36 cases against his name, that included murder, attemtp to murder, kidnapping and extortion.

“A total of 36 cases have been registered in some districts of UP including 24 in various police stations of Varanasi and Purvanchal” an official informed. He was resident of Narottampur Lanka. On March 9, 2021, reward amount of Rs 2 lakh was announced by the UP Police on his head.
