Fresh Corona Cases Grow In UP: 638 In last 24-Hours, Lucknow Tops Scare Chart With 232

Lucknow, March 23 (TNA) Fresh cases of Corona is spinning out of control in Uttar Pradesh as the most populous state of the country reported a high of 638 new patients of the dreaded virus on Tuesday.

As per the data made available by the state health department, this is the highest in many weeks, making the state government worry over the prospects of a further spike in the forthcoming festival season of Holi.

The state capital Lucknow reported a staggering 232 cases in the past 24-hours, which is ten times that in any other district of the state. Prayagraj reported 28 cases and Kanpur 20 in the last one day.

Ghaziabad also reported a high of 24 new cases of COVID-19. Varanasi logged 25 fresh cases while Meerut reported two dozen new cases.
