Four UP Police Constables, One Undertrial Killed As Police Van Rams Into Stationary Container

Lucknow, May 8 (TNA) In a tragic incident in the wee hours of Thursday, five persons, including a sub-inspector of the UP Police and an undertrial, were killed in a road crash. According to the information available, the mishap happened on the Delhi-Kanpur highway near Chikawati village when the police van (UP 83 G 0687) carrying the criminal in the Gangster court rammed into a stationary container.

The police were taking the criminal to Muzaffarnagar for a court trial. Three other cops have also been killed in the crash while one is being treated at a medical facility.

Initial investigation, a senior police official informed TNA, suggested that the driver fell asleep, leading to the mishap. The deceased cops have been identified as Raghuveer Singh, Balveer Singh, Chandrabhan Singh, Sher Singh and the criminal Gulshanwar.
