Four Miscreants Shot In Encounter With Banda Police, Dozen Arrested

Banda, May 19 (TNA) Four miscreants were shot in a gun battle with the police after which 12 arrested were arrested. Two of the injured criminals carried cash rewards of Rs 25,000 each on their head. Superintendent of Police Abhinandan said that when the police interrogated two miscreants Hirawan Kharwar and Hariom Soni at the Badausa police station after which the entire gang was busted.

The gang was carrying out incidents of theft and dacoity in Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Rae Bareli, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Unnao etc. Nine miscreants are from Bihar and three from Mirzapur.

Four pistols, five daggers and 10 stolen mobile phones were recovered from the miscreants. The police team involved in the encounter included Inspector Krishna Kumar Pandey, in-charge of Bisanda, Inspector of Girwan police station Manoj Shukla, SOG in-charge Sub Inspector Mayank Chandel, Bilgaon outpost in-charge Sandeep Patel and SOG personnel.
