Four Kids Drown In Banda’s Ken River, One Missing

Banda, August 30 (TNA) In a tragic accident on the festival of Rakshabandhan, four children died due to drowning in the river in Pailani police station area of Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. These people had gone with their family members to immerse Kajariya at the Gaila Ghat of the river flowing near Gurgawan in Pailani.

It is being said that while immersing, all the children suddenly went into deep water. After which they started drowning one by one. When people standing nearby saw the children drowning, they raised an alarm after which the search for the children was started.

Four children were recovered within some time. One is still missing. Family members and police force are present at the spot. The names of the deceased children are Rakhi (18) daughter of Ram Kripal, Suryansh (5) son of Lovelesh, Vijayalakshmi (14) daughter of Ramvishal and Pushpendra (8) son of Dinesh. All the deceased are residents of Banda.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this accident and has announced to give an assistance amount of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased.
